  1. Funny you should ask….

I made them with butter last week since J doesn’t eat shortening. They came out like wafers, so I ended up in a discussion with my mom about this. If you do use all butter, you could add a bit of flour, and certainly cool the dough before you bake the cookies. I think even better would be to ball them and freeze the dough first, then pop them in the oven. I haven’t personally tried this, but I do think it will keep them from spreading all over the cookie sheet. You could also try half shortening half butter.

  2. Oh thanks for the tips. I don’t generally bake stuff that needs shortening, and while I think we do have a can of Crisco, I suspect we moved it with us into this house five yrs ago O.O lol

These sound yummmmmmy, I might have to bake these when the current pan of brownies runs out lol

  3. Thanks so much for the recipe! 🙂 I’ll certainly try this one.

I used to bake a lot, but since moving here I’m having all sorts of problems getting used to the different ingredients. You don’t want to know how my tried-and-trusted ginger snap recipe turned out! And we never speak of the brownies….
