Another Hat

I know I’ve been quite absent from the blog lately. It’s been busy, and also, my knitting has been a little boring. Plus I am not getting out of work during the daylight so it’s hard to get photographs. So of course, a saturday morning photo was in order.

I finished another sockhead slouch hat. This one isn’t as slouchy as the first, I should have cast on the same number of stitches. But, the yarn is supposed to be thicker, so I didn’t. It’s still a very serviceable hat anyhow.

Instead of straight stockinette, I decided to purl the hot pink sections every time I came to them in the body of the hat. It added a little interest for me. And it adds a little interest to the hat itself.

This makes 95% of my yearly goal. All I have to do is finish both the projects I currently have on the needles right now in order to complete my goal of 40 projects this year. There’s one that’s a sure bet. The other…well…I am currently spinning for it, as I need more yarn. That being said, I feel like it’s totally doable.

Remember when I mentioned I’d need another christmas stocoking next year? I was unsure if I should begin one right away or wait. Well, I waited. I just couldn’t bring myself to knit another. And it’s a good thing too, as Miss Butterly pulled out some christmas items, she notified me that we have one too many stockings! This is fantastic since it means all I have to do now is send one of them out.

That’s it from me today. Hopefully, I can get a photo up of my handspun project tomorrow. I’ve got the bulk of it knit and am working on spinning for the ruffle edge.
