I worked from home today, but will not be able to do so all week. Miss Butterfly has begun to babysit the dogs as they’ve become too attached to me while I’ve been home. She’s prepping for when I am gone. I think she’s being wise.
Here’s my list for last week with what I did actually accomplish:
Don’t work during off hours. Bake bread (Like really, DO THIS!)
- I did this and it was delightful.
- Teach Miss Butterfly how to make yogurt.
Hang decorative hooks for dog leashes.
- Get one piece of peel and stick wallpaper hung in the kitchen in order to make a decision about it.
Start plying the singles that were spun before interior painting projects began.
- I actually finished the yarn, it’s drying and I’ll get to show it off soon.
- Adding to the list, fix a cloth mask to wear to work next week
- I began fixing that mask, but then received a few more from a relative, so didn’t finish the fixing project.
I don’t have a photo of the yarn yet, but last evening I did something I haven’t done in so long! I spun on my back patio. Actually, it was plying, but same difference.
As you can see, Mr. Ink had recently mowed the lawn and it was an absolutely beautiful day! He didn’t finish playing in the yard until 8:30 pm. We didn’t have dinner until after 9. Then he had to go back outside to clean up. I am fairly certain this was one of his all-time favorite yard days.
I have been working on a little knitting as well, the Metanoia wrap was just too pretty (and free) to pass up!
This is out of two different handspun yarns, both of the yarns are Miss Marja’s handspun. I am getting very close to the portion of the scarf where the colors change, and I am really looking forward to seeing the lacier portion done in the solid purple color.
I believe this brings me to the end of my weekly lists. I’ll keep a few going in my head, but with being back at work, I am probably not going to need them to keep me motivated. It was tough during those beginning days to figure out which way was up, but I don’t think that’s the case anymore. I’ve got a routine that works for me whether working from home or physically at the office, and I think a routine was exactly what I was craving while not quite knowing how to make one for myself while working from home.
